Dennis O’Malley is CEO & President of Caliva, the largest vertically integrated cannabis company in California. Driven by a passion for enabling people to choose their own health and wellness options, Mr. O’Malley has launched Caliva into a rapid growth phase, racing to become the #1 trusted brand in cannabis. Mr. O’Malley has over a 20 year track record of leadership roles in fast growing companies in emerging markets as well as successfully raising capital from institutional investors and in addition holds multiple technology patents. Most recently Mr. O’Malley co-founded and lead a venture backed software company that enabled brands like Red Bull, Nike, Adidas, The North Face, and Reebok to scale their revenue through ambassador marketing programs. The company was sold in 2016 for a 10x revenue multiple. Mr. O’Malley holds an MBA from Santa Clara University where he graduated with honors.
Steve Allan is President of Caliva, responsible for Direct to Consumer line of business, Data Analytics, and Legal & Human Resources. Steve brings a strong financial background and passion for growth to his role at Caliva. For the decade prior to joining Caliva in 2017, Steve was the Head of SVB Analytics and SVB Securities Strategic Advisory, responsible for the three areas of information services provided to the innovation economy, Strategic Advisory Services, Compliance Valuations, and Insights. Before SVB, he worked with J.P. Morgan Chase in New York for the firm's fixed income trading business on the proprietary and client-focused U.S. Dollar Fixed Income Derivatives desks.
With over twenty years of CPG skincare marketing experience, Stephen Matt has built an accomplished career as a consumer packaged goods marketing expert. Successes include building new brands, managing Fortune 500 skincare brands, creating and selling a company, developing break-through advertising and bringing innovation to established categories. Matt’s extensive consumer marketing experience puts him in a unique category of beauty marketing experts with a background in both luxury cosmetics and skincare.
Tim Laehy has over 20 years of senior finance and management experience in multiple high growth industries including: Crypto Currency, Financial Services, Social Media, Digital Media, Cyber Security, Telecommunications, and Consumer Electronics. He has been a CFO at both private and public companies managing international and domestic operations. His experience includes building and managing all administrative functions along with providing leadership for growth companies.
Matt McLean’s career in product development and business operations has been punctuated by his history of building and implementing new and innovative business solutions that improve the customer experience as well as internal business processes. Prior to joining Caliva, Matt was the Global Senior Vice President for Westfield Labs, the Research & Development division of Westfield Corporation, a global shopping mall management firm, Mr. McLean efforts advanced the company’s development of digital solutions, including the “Searchable Mall” that is designed to improve the customer’ shopping experience at 146 shopping centers worldwide, serving 1.4B shoppers annually.
Sean PetersVice President - Sales
With a decorated history of business development and strategic partnerships, Sean Peters leads Caliva’s business development and sales teams. Skilled in high-level contract negotiations, Sean builds long-term, mutually advantageous relationships. His background in services contractions and negotiation gives Caliva’s sales team a fresh industry approach for product sales and development.
Shanon FarneyVice President, People
Shanon is a California native and graduated from California State University, Chico in 2002. She started her career at Harbor Freight Tools ($4 billion dollar, privately owned tool retailer with 800 stores) where she spent ten years managing various Accounting and Finance teams through rapid company growth as they grew from 70 to 400 stores. In late 2011, she joined Pacific Sunwear (a publicly traded apparel company with 650 stores), where she led various Accounting and cross functional project teams for two years.
Most recently, Shanon spent almost six years with Orchard Supply Hardware ($600 million dollar entity of Lowes with 100 hardware and tool retail stores) where she led many initiatives across the organization during rapid cycles of change and growth. Her last year and a half with Orchard, her main focus was on redefining and implementing a new Human Resources strategy to be inclusive of a learning and development team, Orchard branding for talent acquisition, unique retention offerings for employees in a competitive non-retail market, cross functional on-boarding process redesign, a new culturally reflective annual review and goal setting process, leading a companywide culture movement, and partnering cross functionally with all levels to execute key financial initiatives.

Wesley JessVP of Manufacturing & Supply Chain
Wesley is serving as the Head of Operations at Caliva. As a part of his responsibilities he oversees Supply Chain, manufacturing, Oil Operations, Labs, Cultivation as well as Turnkey services with branded third-party companies. Prior to Caliva, Wesley was Vice President of Business Operations at Rackspace Inc from 2010 to 2017. He was responsible for overseeing global supply chain (managing $1 billion in spend), hardware manufacturing, hardware engineering, license management, corporate social responsibility, operational excellence/PMO and global real estate as well as a number of other operational functions. He joined Rackspace from the software publisher Intuit, where he served as Operations Director of Business Management and Strategy. While there, he was responsible for multiple channel operations functions, new product introduction as well as overseeing digital transformation and improvements for Intuit and its partners for over 7 years. Mr. Jess served as an operations leader for Handspring Inc., where he was responsible for various supply chain activities including new product introduction, retail channel management, mobile phone carrier management and direct sales. He has also served in various marketing, enterprise sales and sales management positions during the prior 12 years. Wesley graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S in International Economics.
Elizabeth CookseyHead of Retail
Elizabeth is the Head of Retail for Caliva, leading the retail strategy which includes store growth and development, retail real estate and customer experience. She joins the brand with extensive experience in retail operations, strategy, and team development with both start-up and established retailers. She launched inaugural retail channels for brands BHLDN and ModCloth, and she has served best-in-class brands like Nike, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Free People leading operations and CX initiatives, dynamic teams and growth. This includes developing store prototypes and optimizing market share, creating scalable selling and service initiatives, and launching the personal shopping program at URBN. Elizabeth is a passionate customer advocate and brings extensive knowledge of both traditional and non-traditional strategies to innovate, build, and evolve customer and team experiences and drive results. She received her BBA at Southern Methodist University with a focus in both accounting and marketing, and after 25 years in TX, she recently made her way back to the West Coast, now calling the Bay Area home. She is an avid outdoors-person, loves hiking, running, yoga and travel.
